What is electrolysis?

Electrology is the science of permanent hair removal. Using state-of-the-art technology, a small amount of electricity is gently applied to the base of the hair follicle. This process destroys the hair growth tissue. Therefore, the regenerative ability of the hair follicle is permanently eliminated. An electrologist inserts a very fine probe into the natural opening of the hair follicle alongside the hair shaft, current is then applied to destroy the hair growth cells.

Electrology can go hand in hand with laser treatments to remove any white, blonde, red and gray hair left behind, or to remove the last few strands of hair left that will no longer respond to the laser. The number of treatments necessary varies with each client. Treatments options can range from 15 minutes to more than an hour depending on the area being treated.

gentle, permanent hair removal

For over 130 years, electrolysis has been and remains the only 100% permanent hair removal method recognized by government regulatory agencies. Thanks to modern technology, Apilus devices have revolutionized electrolysis treatments, making it possible to achieve better results and more comfortable therapy. The state-of-the-art computerized system limits the level of destruction within the hair follicle by targeting only germe cells, protecting the skin and preventing new hair growth.
